Wolf Feather Honey Farm and The Intrepid Wild is heaven for wild romantics and free-spirited couples.
Hidden in the hills of Temecula, CA is one of the biggest secrets and we’re sharing it with you! This twenty-acre pistachio farm turned wedding venue is owned by one of the most kind and creative woman, Chari Bird. Chari does things different from most and that’s one of the reasons we loved working with her. Wolf Feather Honey Farm remains private and exclusive to those who put the effort into finding them. Chari does promise once you do find them, “you will discover it’s worth every ounce of your time”. This is true!
We knew we wanted a unique venue where we could have the freedom to play with our creativity. When we came across Wolf Feather Honey Farm, after falling into the hole of instagram, we knew immediately this was the one. It was the perfect setting to create our “Bohemian Dream” styled shoot.
We were inspired by colors and textures found in Renaissance paintings. Our color palate consisted of yellow ochre, azure blue, green earth, Chianti shades, and accents of gold and stone gray.
We began the day in the most magical barn full of earth toned velvet couches, textured pillows and mirrors of all different shapes, sizes and colors covering the walls. We imagined the groom and his groomsmen in this space enjoying a bourbon/scotch and cigar, sharing stories from the past, and toasting to the future. Kelly Huber of Kelly Huber Hair began twisting Morgan’s hair into a beautiful textured braided crown. Emily Burhop worked her magic and created a natural bronzed glow upon Morgan’s skin.
The large black sliding barn doors closed and Morgan slipped into the delicate lace spaghetti strapped Christina Sfez wedding gown. When the barn doors slid back open Morgan appeared like a bohemian goddess with her groom waiting patiently outside. She picked up the oversized bouquet and in that moment we all became speechless. The pampas grass and silk ribbon swayed in the wind like a dream.
Lindsey of Snake Oil Cocktail Co. began working her magic over at the bar. Not only does Snake Oil create the most DELICIOUS cocktails, they also manage to create beautiful works of art every time. The cocktails, garnished with kiwi, grapefruit, lavender, and dried peppers, enhanced the story and experience.
And then there was the cake, OH WOW! Created by Sweet Cheeks Baking Co., this three-tier cake was an incredible work of art. The Chianti color palette curved its way up to the top with a textured palm center-tier.
The couple made their way up to the hilltop, after having a little fun on the dune buggy, where the ceremony site greeted us with a beautiful golden glow against the church pews and foraged stick arch. Dan from Rolling Tide Films captured footage of the breathtaking valley views by drone. The couple got cozy in front of their wedding night glamping tent. Oh, did I mention that Wolf Feather Honey Farm provides glamping tents!? This is a venue after my own heart.
We ended the evening taking footage of the dreamy bohemian tablescape styled with items from Birdie in a Barn. Communal farm tables, lying beneath market lights, twisted their way through the pistachio trees like a vine. Mismatched marble chargers and footed goblets lined the never-ending tables. Staggering heights of pillar candles added texture and a warm glow as the sun fell behind the hills.
We are so thankful for this amazing team of vendors. We had such an amazing day working with each of you!
